Ms. Schmidt was admitted to practice in New York in 2010. She earned her law degree, cum laude, from the University at Buffalo Law School in 2009. Throughout law school Ms. Schmidt worked as a law clerk at a small general practice firm in Buffalo, New York, with a focus in areas such as estates, family law and criminal law. Ms. Schmidt earned a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from the University of Rochester in 2003.

Ms. Schmidt is a member of the Monroe County Bar Association and the Greater Rochester Association for Women Attorneys.
